Braces and Invisalign for St. Andrews Patients

Orthodontic treatment is not the same for every patient. Some smiles need the steady control of braces. Others may be good candidates for Invisalign. Some patients want a less noticeable option but still need the precision of fixed braces.

At Carroll Orthodontics, treatment recommendations are based on your teeth, bite, age, lifestyle, and goals.

When Should You See an Orthodontist?

You do not need to wait until teeth look severely crooked before scheduling a consultation. Many orthodontic concerns are easier to understand, monitor, or treat when they are checked early.

It may be time to visit an orthodontist if you notice:

  • crowded, crooked, or overlapping teeth
  • gaps or uneven spacing
  • an overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite
  • teeth shifting after previous treatment
  • a child’s permanent teeth coming in unevenly
  • difficulty biting, chewing, or cleaning certain teeth
  • interest in braces, Invisalign, or clear ceramic braces

A consultation can help clarify whether treatment is needed now, whether your child should be monitored, or whether there are multiple treatment options to consider.

Orthodontic Care for Children, Teens, and Adults

Patients from St. Andrews visit Carroll Orthodontics for many different reasons. Some parents want to know whether their child’s bite is developing properly. Some teens are ready for braces or Invisalign. Some adults want a more confident smile without feeling like treatment will disrupt their routine.

For children, an orthodontic evaluation can help check jaw growth, spacing, eruption patterns, and bite development. Early treatment is not always necessary, but an early visit can help parents understand the right timing.

Treatment for teens often focuses on correcting crowding, spacing, and bite concerns while the smile is still developing. Braces, Invisalign, or clear ceramic braces may be discussed depending on the case.

For adults, orthodontic treatment may help improve smile confidence, make teeth easier to clean, correct shifting, or address bite issues that have been present for years. Invisalign and clear ceramic braces are often appealing options for adults who want treatment that feels more discreet.
